Lowering Your Energy Bill This Summer

Everyone loves to save money on their energy bill, but many people have no idea how to do it and remain living in a comfortable home. With the temperatures rising higher and higher, it is likely that you have your a/c blasting all day long. You may love the way it feels in your home with it on, but you may not like the bill that you will get at the end up of the month. The good news is that with a little bit of effort, you can make some small changes and lower that bill of yours.

Quick Tips

Close the blinds – If you are running your air and do not plan on going in and out of your home for a while, you may want to consider turning the air off and closing the curtains. You can also raise the temperature in your house to around 75 and then close your curtains to keep your house cool and lower your bill.

Raise the air – When you are leaving your house for the day, you should consider turning your air up between 75-80. Yes, this is warm, but it can be tolerated and even be comfortable with animals still in your home. This way your air won’t keep kicking on and wasting money on air for nobody in your home.
